Capital Rx Partners with VaxAtlas to Streamline COVID-19 Vaccination by Incorporating JUDI Adjudication Platform in VaxAtlas' End-to-End Solution for Patients

Capital Rx (https://www.cap-rx.com/), the fastest-growing pharmacy benefit manager in the U.S., today announced a partnership with VaxAtlas, Inc., the leader in vaccine management, to improve the efficiency of the COVID-19 vaccination process as vaccines are made increasingly available. VaxAtlas will utilize JUDI, Capital Rx's adjudication platform and the first enterprise pharmacy platform, to deliver an end-to-end vaccination solution for consumers, employers and unions.

VaxAtlas' comprehensive suite of tools manages the COVID-19 vaccination process from beginning to end for both patients and employers, making it easy to schedule and manage vaccinations and providing access to a network of over 60,000 trained and trusted national pharmacy providers. The platform provides a streamlined logistical process offering on-demand scheduling, inventory to schedule alignment to assure availability, reminders based on vaccine, vaccine record, and a secure HIPAA based consent engine to share vaccination verification. For employers and venues, VaxAtlas offers a robust reporting and decision support platform to assist the reopening process.

"With no structured approach to reopening, the vaccine management process will be confusing and hard to navigate," said Judi Korzec, CEO & Founder at VaxAtlas. "We want to alleviate the chaos and confusion of waiting in lines, being turned away because of supply issues, and managing the vaccination verification, while providing tools to make lives easier for families, employers, travelers and physicians."

Capital Rx created JUDI to streamline the pharmacy claims process and integrate all pharmacy benefit management (PBM) operations from claims adjudication to underwriting to prior authorization. The technology unifies all pharmacy benefit processes on one platform, simplifying plan management for plan sponsors, administrators and members, creating a new level of efficiency in healthcare management. VaxAtlas will use JUDI to electronically reimburse, coordinate, and process COVID-19 vaccinations in near-real time at retail pharmacies.

"The COVID-19 pandemic has been our generation's greatest medical challenge and has completely changed life and work as we know them," said AJ Loiacono, Founder and CEO at Capital Rx. "In order to return to normalcy, it's critical that the process of finding available vaccines near them and making and attending vaccination appointments is made as simple for patients as possible. Much like Capital Rx, VaxAtlas aims to streamline the vaccination process and patient care as a whole, so our partnership to integrate JUDI into VaxAtlas' platform is one built on a shared foundation."
