Spark Friends - The New Charitable Donation Program from RxSpark

ATLANTA, Oct. 22, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- PS Deals, Inc., a Consumer Value company based in Atlanta, is excited to announce the launch of Spark Friends, a new charitable donation program from RxSpark. With every prescription filled or product purchased through RxSpark, a portion of the profit is set aside to be shared between the top charities voted for by RxSpark Members, with new charities featured each voting period.

"RxSpark is igniting the health sector, empowering people and positioning them at the center of their healthcare," said John Casson, CEO of RxSpark. "Our new Spark Friends initiative extends this ethos to charitable giving, donating a share of our profits to make the world a better place, but putting this giving power in the hands of our Members."

In 2017, Americans donated more than $410 billion to charitable causes, the first year in which this total topped the $400 billion mark and more than any preceding year, with donations by corporations rising to more than $20 billion. Among individuals, donating online was the most popular means of giving, with 29 percent of people supporting their favorite causes by donating money online.

To further its mission of putting the user in the center of choice, RxSpark is entering the charity space with Spark Friends - an innovative new charitable donation program making every day giving effortless for RxSpark Members.

With every prescription filled using a RxSpark Card or Discount Voucher, RxSpark donates a portion of its profits, so the more the products purchased and prescriptions filled, the larger the donation. All Members automatically receive one vote per voting period but also earn additional votes for each prescription filled or product purchased.

At the end of the voting period, donations are distributed in line with the percentage of votes the charity received, encouraging Members to promote and support their favorite charity by inviting Friends to get involved and vote.

The voting process is simple; Members simply log in to RxSpark and go to the Charities & Voting page under My Dashboard. Friends invited to support a cause can register through a simple sign-up process, enabling them to vote for their favorite charity and save money on their prescriptions using their RxSpark Card.  Find out more at https://www.RxSpark.com
