InventHelp Inventor Develops Feminine External Catheter System (SDB-1762)

PITTSBURGH, May 14, 2024 /PRNewswire/ -- "I'm a registered nurse who thought there could be a more efficient, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing external catheter system that would align with the contours of the female body," said an inventor, from Canyon Lake, Calif., "so I invented the LILIPAD. My design offers an improved alternative to conventional invasive catheters."

The patent-pending invention provides an improved external catheter system for women. In doing so, it helps maintain proper position to reduce leaks. It also could help reduce urinary tract infections compared to internal foley catheters, decrease trauma to urethras compared to invasive catheters, and help preserve skin integrity. The invention features a modified feminine design that is easy to use so it is ideal for healthcare facilities and home settings for individuals who have urine incontinence, have limited mobility, or are bedbound. Additionally, it is producible in design variations.

The original design was submitted to the San Diego sales office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
