GENESIS GIVES DONATES $50,000 TO ALABAMA STATE UNIVERSITY TO SUPPORT STEM EDUCATION


MONTGOMERY, Ala., May 7, 2024 /PRNewswire/ -- Genesis Gives, the corporate social responsibility initiative from Genesis Motor America, recently donated $50,000 to Alabama State University (ASU) to provide scholarships to undergraduate students in the science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields. This contribution marks the inaugural donation to ASU's Mechanical Engineering Program, launching this fall. Montgomery, Alabama is home to Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama (HMMA), which assembles the Genesis Electrified GV70 SUV.

The Mechanical Engineering Program at ASU is poised to provide students with comprehensive academic and hands-on experiences, preparing them for successful careers in the field. The support from Genesis will also enable the program to offer state-of-the-art facilities, advanced technological resources, and valuable industry connections.
