Oleria Adaptive Security Launches to Transform and Modernize Access Management

Oleria, a visionary provider of adaptive and autonomous identity security, today announced the general availability of Oleria Adaptive Security, powered by Oleria's Trustfusion Platform. Oleria Adaptive Security provides first-of-its-kind fine-grained visibility into access and access usage at an individual resource level ? allowing CISOs and their teams to finally answer the critical questions: Who has access to what? How did they get it? What are they doing with it?

Identity security has become the new cybersecurity battlefront. CISOs and their teams are increasingly challenged by the lack of access visibility and control due to the limitations of legacy Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems. Further, the proliferation of SaaS applications and AI add complexity to this evolving landscape. According to the 2024 IBM® Threat Intelligence Index, 2023 saw a 71% year-over-year increase in attacks targeting identities. For the first time ever, abusing valid accounts became cybercriminals' most common entry point into victim environments ? representing 30% of all incidents the IBM team responded to last year.

Oleria fills a critical gap for security teams by bringing together organization-wide access into a comprehensive access graph powered by Oleria's Trustfusion Platform. Oleria's adaptive solution enables organizations to ensure that users have the right access at the right time only as long as they need it, so organizations can reduce risk, ensure compliance and reduce the cost of managing access.

With Oleria Adaptive Security, CISOs and their teams can be confident knowing that access and usage across their SaaS applications are continuously evaluated. With the general availability release customers are empowered to achieve the following outcomes and more:

"Oleria was founded by security operators for operators to propel identity security forward, eliminating the restrictive limitations of legacy identity security technology and processes," said Jim Alkove, founding CEO of Oleria and former Chief Trust Officer at Salesforce. "We've built the first adaptive identity security product giving our customers full clarity and control of their access, freeing their organizations from the restrictions and risks of rigid legacy security operations, and allowing them to collaborate and innovate at the pace of business."

"We began seeing value quickly after implementing Oleria Adaptive Security," said Mark Carter, CIO and CISO of Vimeo, an Oleria customer. "I was impressed by the comprehensive visibility we had into our access, including over-provisioned accounts, unintended access, and our coverage of multi-factor authentication. Oleria's simple user-friendly experience gave us both clarity and direction on where to focus our efforts and the tools to easily detect access issues."

With Oleria's Trustfusion Platform, Oleria is driving a quantum leap in identity security, offering rapid, frictionless cloud integration and comprehensive visibility. The platform advances beyond traditional data collection methods, normalizing complex access models and orchestrating them into a unified, human-readable permissions framework. By harmonizing disparate data sources, the platform sets the stage for access management built on a single unified platform, enabling transformative identity and access solutions from security to governance. Setting the stage for a future of AI-driven innovation, the Trustfusion Platform empowers organizations to achieve new levels of security, efficiency, and agility.

The launch of Oleria Adaptive Security comes on the heels of Oleria's recent $33M Series A funding round led by Evolution Equity Partners with participation from Salesforce Ventures, Tapestry VC, and Zscaler. The funding has enabled Oleria to propel product innovation and expand its leadership team with the additions of former Microsoft and T-Mobile executive Jeremy Korst as Chief Commercial Officer, and Head of Marketing Shana Glenzer, as well as the appointment of Dr. Marty Trevino, former Global Technical Director for the NSA, as Chief Science Advisor. Oleria recently opened an engineering office in Bangalore, India under the leadership of Head of Engineering Rajneesh Kumar.

"I'm proud of our team for their hard work leading this paradigm shift for the identity security industry. We're freeing up business leaders to focus on their core business objectives, while offering CISOs peace of mind that access is appropriate and risk is minimized," said Jagadeesh Kunda, co-founder and Chief Product Officer of Oleria. "We're excited about the positive responses to these initial features and look forward to rapidly delivering even more capabilities in the coming months."
