Dunk MS Hosts Annual Charity Event in Partnership With UCLA Athletics and UCLA Health to Support MS Research
Dunk MS: The World's First Charity Dunk Show Takes Flight at UCLA on May 18th
LOS ANGELES, CA / ACCESSWIRE / April 16, 2024 / Dunk MS, the annual charity event showcasing the world's top pro dunkers, will take place at UCLA's legendary Pauley Pavilion on Saturday, May 18th. The event is organized in partnership with UCLA Athletics and UCLA Health by former UCLA Basketball player, Blake Arnet, in honor of his late mother, Brigitte, who fought bravely against multiple sclerosis (MS).

This community-oriented fundraiser also includes a kid's basketball clinic, an MS community zone, raffle prizes, sponsor tables, a silent auction, a wellness center, an orange carpet, and free food and entertainment. The event benefits MS research at UCLA Health led by world-renowned MS researcher, Dr. Voskuhl: "UCLA Health and our MS program are thrilled to continue our partnership with Dunk MS! Their annual contribution helps us hire the best undergrad and post-grad students to further our world-class MS research."
The event was founded by Blake Arnet, an alumnus of Mater Dei and UCLA Basketball, who transformed the sorrow from his mother's 2007 MS diagnosis and her passing in 2009 into a passionate drive to find a cure for the disease. He launched Dunk MS as a side project in 2018, which quickly evolved into a must-attend event for the MS community and basketball fans across Southern California.
