National Thoroughbred League Secures Strategic Investment from DCB Sports


The National Thoroughbred League (NTL) announced today that it has secured a significant strategic investment from DCB Sports, an experienced La Jolla, California-based investment firm that specializes in the sports and entertainment space. This investment marks a major milestone for the NTL as it prepares to announce its 2024 expansion plans and schedule, reinforcing its position as a leading innovator in the world of thoroughbred racing.

"This confirmatory investment from DCB Sports is a testament to the bright future of the National Thoroughbred League," said Randall Lane, co-founder of the NTL. "We are thrilled to have the support of such a respected and experienced sports investor as we continue to grow and innovate within the industry."

Gary LaDrido, Managing Partner at DCB Sports, emphasized the alignment of this investment with the firm's recent strategic moves, which includes stakes in the Venezia FC soccer team and the TPL Golf arena league, cofounded by Tiger Words and Rory McElroy. "Our investment in the National Thoroughbred League is consistent with our recent investments in innovative sports properties. We believe the NTL has tremendous potential for growth and innovation in the world of thoroughbred racing." LaDrido will join the NTL's Board of Directors.

Robert Daugherty, co-founder of the NTL, shared exciting news about the league's expansion plans. "We are thrilled that the National Thoroughbred League will be adding four additional franchises for the 2024 season. We're announcing the new teams and schedule in June. This expansion, with the specific teams announced in June, is a direct result of the tremendous support and confidence we have received from our investors, fans, and the racing community."
