Aureus Asset Management Appoints Thad Davis as President and Chief Executive Officer
Aureus Asset Management ("Aureus" or the "Firm"), an independent investment firm dedicated to delivering long-term performance and unparalleled service to high-net-worth individuals, families, and institutional investors, today announced that Thad Davis has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of the Firm. Karen Firestone, Co-Founder of Aureus who previously served as Chairman and Chief Executive, has transitioned to serve as Executive Chairman.
Mr. Davis joined Aureus in 2005, the year the Firm was founded, as co-portfolio manager of its Core Equity Strategy. Over the past two decades, he has become a widely respected investment professional and executive who combines strong leadership skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service with extensive experience and expertise spanning wealth management for individuals, families, and institutional investors.
Prior to joining Aureus, Mr. Davis was with Bear Stearns Asset Management where he was a vice president responsible for research and management of small and large-cap value equity portfolios. Before that he was a vice president and portfolio analyst for Putnam Investments. Earlier in his career he served as an associate research analyst at Montgomery Securities which later became part of Banc of America Securities.

Mr. Davis earned his BA from Harvard College, MBA from NYU's Stern School of Business, and is a CFA charterholder.
