Adam Bold's Attorneys Parker Shaffie LLP File Motion To Disqualify Opposing Counsel In A3 Partner Lawsuit

Attorneys for Adam Bold have filed a motion to disqualify opposing counsel in a lawsuit involving Bold's partners at A3 Artists Agency. The motion asks the court to disqualify Bryan Freedman and his firm Freedman Taitelman & Cooley LLP from representing the plaintiffs in Robert Attermann, Brian Cho, et.al. vs. Adam Bold, et. al (Los Angeles Superior Court, Case No.23STCV29842).

The motion to disqualify claims conflicts of interest including representing plaintiff Brian Cho in the Bold case while simultaneously being adverse to Cho in another matter involving A3. The motion states Freedman is using confidential information from the second case to the detriment of Bold in the current case.

The motion also says that Freedman is making false public statements about Bold in violation of the California State Bar's Rules of Professional Conduct and is another reason for disqualification as the statements are "unverified, salacious and egregious accusations that are defamatory and patently false."

"Mr. Freedman's attempts to discredit our client through backhanded remarks amount to violations of ethical standards of professional responsibility," says David Parker, managing partner at Parker Shaffie, LLP, the firm representing Bold. "All of this, including violating client trust through his conflict of interest is unethical and in poor taste, and is exactly why Mr. Bold has filed a disqualification motion against him. As attorneys, our focus should be on presenting factual evidence and legal arguments, rather than breaching client confidences and engaging in personal attacks."

A hearing is scheduled for April 9th at 9:30 a.m. in Los Angeles Superior Court to hear motion arguments.
