BrightPoint (BP) LLC Awarded Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Contract

A $12M T&M FBI contract has been awarded to BrightPoint LLC, a joint venture between Buchanan & Edwards and i3, to support the Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Division.

WASHINGTON, March 12, 2024 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- BrightPoint (BP) LLC, an 8(a) joint venture between Buchanan & Edwards (BE) and i3, has been awarded a contract for $12 million with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). This significant contract entrusts BP with the responsibility of providing Subject Matter Experts to support the FBI's Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Division.

The CJIS Division plays a crucial role in equipping law enforcement, national security, and intelligence community partners with the necessary criminal justice information to safeguard the United States while upholding civil liberties. Comprising of various sections, the CJIS organization addresses both business and information technology (IT) aspects of its mission.

Under the terms of the contract, BP will be responsible for conducting research, analysis, and providing expert advice to the FBI in various fields of expertise, including emerging technologies. Playing a key role in the implementation, use, and coaching of agile practices within the CJIS SoS, BP will also extend its support to cloud technologies and migration efforts as needed.
