MEXICO CITY, Feb. 8, 2024 /PRNewswire/ -- Grupo Aeromexico S.A.B. de C.V. ("Aeromexico") reports its January 2024 operational results:
Grupo Aeromexico transported 1 million and 991 thousand passengers in January 2024, a 1.5% year-on-year increase. International passengers increased by 17.2%, while domestic passengers decreased by 5.4%.
Aeromexico's total capacity, measured in available seat kilometers (ASKs), increased by 4.3% year-on-year. International ASKs increased by 17.2%, while domestic capacity decreased by 17.9% year-on-year.
Demand, measured in passenger-kilometers (RPKs), increased by 14.7% year-on-year. International demand increased by 25.3% as compared to January 2023. Domestic demand decreased 4.4% respect to January 2023.
Aeromexico's January 2024 load factor was 86.4% a 7.9 p.p. increase as compared to January 2023. International load factor increased by 5.5 p.p. and domestic load factor increased by 12.5 p.p.
