Tony Romo to be honored with 2024 Pat Summerall Award during Super Bowl LVIII week, Legends for Charity® dinner benefiting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital®

Tony Romo will receive the 2024 Pat Summerall Award at this year's Legends for Charity^® event, held Thursday, Feb. 8 at Caesars Palace, the NFL headquarters hotel. The annual dinner and charity auction brings hundreds of athletes, broadcasters and sports industry executives together to honor the legacy of the late legendary NFL broadcaster while benefiting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital^®.

The coveted Pat Summerall Award will be presented to Romo in celebration of his successes in the NFL and throughout his broadcasting career with CBS Sports. Romo, CBS Sports' Lead NFL Analyst for THE NFL ON CBS for the past seven years, was the starting quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys from 2006 to 2016.

"I am incredibly honored to receive this award named for the legendary Pat Summerall," said Romo. "He was the voice of my youth and helped me fall in love with the game of football. To be associated with him, as well as join this distinguished list of past honorees is truly humbling. Since its inception more than 19 years ago, Legends for Charity has raised more than $11 million for St. Jude families which supports the institution's promise that no family will ever receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food ? so they can focus on helping their child live. One of those St. Jude patients is Emmanuel who was diagnosed at four years old with retinoblastoma, a cancer of the eye. Emmanuel underwent treatment at St. Jude. He is now 19 and the recipient of 18 football scholarships that launched his dream of becoming a college athlete.
