Media Advisory - Street closures for the state funeral for the Honourable Ed Broadbent
Access to some streets in downtown Ottawa will be restricted during the state funeral for the Honourable Ed Broadbent.
OTTAWA, ON, Jan. 26, 2024 /CNW/ - Canadian Heritage would like to inform residents and visitors that access to some streets in downtown Ottawa will be restricted on January 28, 2024, from 12:30 p.m. until 6 p.m., for the state funeral for the Honourable Ed Broadbent, P.C., C.C.
Only people displaying an official access pass, residents with a driver's license as proof of residence and emergency responders will be allowed to access closed streets with a vehicle.
The following road closures will be in effect on January 28, from 12:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.:
O'Connor Street will be closed between Lisgar Street and Cooper Street.
Cooper Street will be closed between Bank Street and O'Connor Street.
The Carleton Dominion-Chalmers Centre parking lot will be closed between 12:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.
