Canopy Edge Is Formed to Provide Global Sustainability Practitioners with Leading-Edge Consulting and Advisory Services

Today, three industry veterans announced the formation of Canopy Edge, a global consulting and advisory firm that provides clients with the strategic advice and tools needed to navigate and excel in the Net Zero corporate sustainability journey. The firm offers measurement and strategy for science-based targets, ESG reporting and program management, thought leadership, and market messaging advisory services. The company's founding partners, who collectively bring many decades of experience to the venture, are Daniel Cardamone, Jonathan Keller, and Clint Wheelock.

"Companies around the world are contending with ever-increasing stakeholder demand, as well as regulatory and compliance requirements, to take actionable steps to improve their impact on the community and the environment," says Cardamone. "Effective strategies should incorporate economic, environmental, and social factors into an organization's policies, practices, and processes. If executed properly, the net results should include progress toward Net Zero emissions reduction by 2050, employee engagement, and improving profitability, among other positive outcomes."

Wheelock adds that, while large companies have been building and implementing sustainability initiatives in recent years, the focus is now turning to small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), which are a primary target market for Canopy Edge. "With regulatory and stakeholder pressure mounting, an increasing number of organizations are faced with the challenges of assessing their entire supply chain emissions impact and identifying where to focus abatement activities. A best practice for tracking supplier engagement is collaborating with competitors, as shared value chains are common in most sectors. Companies will achieve considerable progress if they can define a win-win relationship with their competitors and suppliers, provide methodologies and support, certify data quality, and highlight benefits to the bottom line."

"Companies are also under increasing expectations to communicate their commitments to ESG improvement," says Keller. "To build credible messaging with internal and external stakeholders, companies must ensure their messaging is aligned with corporate values, and is genuine, transparent, and supported by concrete actions and data." Unique among sustainability consultancies, Canopy Edge provides clients with market messaging, ESG reports and thought leadership, custom digital media content, and content syndication and lead generation services.

Canopy Edge's solution offerings for clients fall into three main practice areas: Corporate Sustainability, Sustainability Intelligence, and Sustainability Messaging.
