AHF MLK Day Float Shouts ?Housing Is A Human Right'

AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) together with its affiliate organizations, the Healthy Housing Foundation and Housing is a Human Right, and its affinity group BLACC?the Black Leadership AIDS Crisis Coalition?is spotlighting housing affordability, gentrification and homelessness in its 2024 Kingdom Day Parade contingent with marchers carrying ?Housing is a Civil Rights Issue' placards and banners and a float featuring the Downtown Los Angeles skyline. The float also prominently features a poignant quote from Dr. King, who was a moving force behind the federal Fair Housing Act, which Congress enacted after King's assassination in 1968. "We are here today because we are tired. Tired of paying more for less."
