iGiftFund Earns #2 Spot in National Ranking of Top 20 DAF Sponsors

Opening in 2018, The Independent Charitable Gift Fund (iGiftFund) based in Hudson, Ohio, earned the number two spot as one of the Top 20 DAFs in the country, according to DonorAdvisedFunds.com, an independent organization that advises individuals and companies on donor advised funds. The top two spot in the ranking for iGiftFund beats out other notable DAF sponsors including Fidelity, Schwab, Vanguard, NPT and AEF.

DonorAdvisedFunds.com used a proprietary algorithm (DAFScoretm) to access and evaluate DAF attributes, such as affordability, customer service, restrictions, and ease of use to develop its Top 20 List. The rankings help donors and advisors make informed decisions about choosing a DAF sponsor.

"This ranking is meaningful because it is based on factors important to the donor's experience," said iGiftFund Founder Phil Tobin, one of the longest-serving DAF experts in the country. He founded AEF in 1992 as the country's first, independent, advisor-managed DAF programs in the country. Recognizing that DAFs had become a virtual commodity in an industry dominated by national financial institutions, he departed AEF to found iGiftFund Fund in 2018 on the belief that philanthropy should be simple, affordable, accessible and enjoyable ? without the restrictions and conflicts-of-interest of national DAF sponsors.

Today there is over $228 billion invested in nearly two million separate DAF funds sponsored by 1,151 DAF sponsors.

"The ability to independently evaluate the offerings of various DAF sponsors in a simple way is most welcome," said Tobin.

Describing iGiftFund's advantages, Tobin said: "We have the longest DAF experience and the lowest admin fees in the industry. We do not use impersonal call centers, so our donors and advisors speak directly with us for guidance. It's about the donor experience," Tobin said.
