Brandon Weening joins Lime Connect Canada Board of Directors
OMERS executive supports the organization's focus on rebranding disability through achievement
NEW YORK and TORONTO, Dec. 4, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Lime Connect (Lime) is pleased to announce that Brandon Weening, Executive Vice President, Corporate and Capital Markets Finance at OMERS, has joined the not-for-profit organization as a member of its Canada Board of Directors. Weening's position highlights OMERS and Oxford Properties (OMERS) deep commitment to supporting people with disabilities.
Weening has been with OMERS for 10 years, taking on a variety of progressive roles in finance. Today he leads teams accountable for financing, financial reporting, finance systems and investment operations, among others. Weening is also an OMERS Inclusion & Diversity Council member and the Executive Sponsor of OMERS DiversAbilities Employee Resource Group, advocating for employees with disabilities to reach their full potential ? aligning directly with Lime Connect's mission.
OMERS, one of Canada's largest defined benefit pension plans, and its real estate arm, Oxford Properties, began its partnership with Lime in 2023, supporting talent acquisition through recruitment and networking events. OMERS also partners with Lime for events and other forums that provide education opportunities for those working in the disability talent space.
