Expansion

Freudenberg Medical expanded its Galway manufacturing operation by 50% this year. The expansion is a strategic move to meet global demand for the company's critical metal components used in minimally invasive surgical catheters. Sustainability

Freudenberg Medical completed the successful global roll out of a state-of-the-art environmental management system and announced ISO 14001 certification for all 11 global locations. The achievement caps a global multi-year effort to reduce environmental impact and a step toward reaching carbon neutrality of its manufacturing activities. In addition, two manufacturing operations have converted to 100% green energy with all electricity purchased as renewable energy from solar.

Freudenberg tubing is available off-the-shelf or with short lead time and a dedicated sales and service team in India assures timely order processing and delivery.

Biopharma Product Portfolio

Freudenberg Medical designs and manufactures the HelixMark® and PharmaFocus® Premium brands of silicone tubing for biopharmaceutical fluid processing. Custom tubing is also available for oxygen concentrators, ventilators, catheters, and other medical devices.

PharmaFocus® Premium platinum-cured silicone tubing was designed to meet the demanding requirements of single-use pharmaceutical and bioprocessing applications and has been extractables tested for BPOG and USP 665 protocols with a full validation package. The PharmaFocus® product line includes standard, braid reinforced, and peristaltic pump tubing.

HelixMark® silicone tubing is available off-the-shelf and ready to ship in a wide array of product types and sizes including color stripe, peristaltic pump, and opaque tubing as well as stoppers and clamp gaskets. HelixMark® offers a choice of silicone raw material from the major suppliers including Duponttm Liveotm, Wacker®, Momentivetm, and Nusil®.

Freudenberg recently introduced HelixTCtm overmolded sanitary ends in silicone for use in bioprocessing and single-use fluid transfer applications. HelixTCtm is an alternative to standard barbed TC connections and is available in standard or mini with either stainless steel or polysulfone back-up cups.
