Prime Cuts 2023 includes the following recommendations:

CAGW President Tom Schatz said in a statement:

"The fiscal status of the United States is shameful and chilling. The national debt has reached a catastrophic $33.4 trillion and will grow at a record pace over the next decade. Inflation is skyrocketing, Americans are struggling, and Congress continues to squander the taxpayers' money. The only way to rein in excessive and inefficient government spending is for elected officials to reduce waste, fraud, abuse, and mismanagement. Prime Cuts 2023 is not only required reading for taxpayers, the media, and legislators, but also a roadmap for the bold action needed to restore fiscal sanity and help prevent a financial disaster."

Citizens Against Government Waste is the nation's largest nonpartisan, nonprofit organization dedicated to eliminating waste, fraud, abuse, and mismanagement in government.
