Greenberg Traurig Once Again a Sponsor of National LGBTQ+ Bar Association Lavender Law® Conference and Career Fair


Global law firm Greenberg Traurig LLP was once again a sponsor of the annual National LGBTQ+ Bar Association Lavender Law® Conference and Career Fair held this year in Chicago, July 24-26.

CHICAGO, July 27th, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Global law firm Greenberg Traurig LLP was once again a sponsor of the annual [National LGBTQ+ Bar Association Lavender Law® Conference and Career Fair held this year in Chicago, July 24-26. In addition to participating on panels and the career fair, the firm held a reception for clients during the event. Greenberg Traurig has a long history of sponsoring the event, designed to achieve a sense of community and inclusion for LGBTQ+ candidates within the legal profession's recruiting efforts.

Greenberg Traurig Shareholders Brandon D. Cox, Alice L. Kessler, and Thomas Pack, and Associates Jonathan Huie and Laura Luisi, as well representatives from the firm's Recruitment Department, participated. Cox and Kessler are co-chairs of the firm's LGBTQ+ Affinity Group.

Kessler moderated a breakout panel from the Corporate Counsel Institute July 25 titled, "Breakout Panel: The Data Surrounding DEI: Insights and Strategies to Effect Lasting Change." Kessler is the co-managing shareholder of the Sacramento office and the co-leader of the California Government Law & Policy Group in the firm's that office.

Cox is resident in the firm's Atlanta office. As first- and second-chair trial counsel, he has obtained defense verdicts for clients in several nationwide cases. He is experienced in virtually all aspects of litigation, focusing on assisting clients with matters involving products liability, personal injury defense, and pharmaceutical, medical device, and health care litigation.

Pack focuses his practice on pharmaceutical and medical device products liability matters and complex business litigation. He maintains an active pro bono practice with an emphasis on representing asylum seekers fleeing persecution on account of their LGBTQ+ sexual orientations and/or gender identities. He serves clients from the firm's Minneapolis and San Francisco offices.

Luisi served as a panelist for a session titled, "Making the Move: Best Practices for Law Firm + In-House Lateral Candidates" also on July 25. Luisi is an associate in the Labor & Employment Practice in the firm's Chicago office. She focuses her practice on defending employers in class action, collective action, and single plaintiff employment matters.

Huie, from the firm's Washington, D.C. office, has deep experience in the areas of government enforcement and regulatory matters across the technology, financial services, and food and drug industries. He is a member of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association, of the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of the Greater Washington, D.C. Area, and of the National LGBTQ+ Bar.
