New Book Utilizes Ancient Hebrew and Current Scientific Evidence to Evaluate the Biblical Account of Creation

Researcher Dr. Scott Ransom demonstrates how modern scientific theory aligns with the Biblical account of creation

SEATTLE, July 17, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- With years of experience working as both a church leader and scientist, Dr. Scott Ransom is familiar with all kinds of questions that can surround the bible and its teachings, and how they overlap with the scientific world. In his book, "...And It Was So: How modern science sheds new light on the Biblical account of creation," he shares evidence to support how the two are intertwined.

In his book, Ransom shares how perceived gaps between science and the creation account in the Bible are symptoms of misinterpretation. He argues that with a proper understanding of the Hebrew language in which Genesis was written along with modern scientific understanding, the two coalesce into a coherent picture in which science and the Bible align.

Ransom takes readers into the story of creation and the science behind it, distilling complex scientific concepts into easily digestible nuggets and introduces many lesser-known heroes of scientific discovery - many of which are women. By addressing common questions surrounding the origins of life, Eve's creation, and the creation of the universe, he wants readers to have a new appreciation for both science and the Bible as well as the harmony that exists between both.

"Many people of faith feel that science is at odds with that faith. Others feel the Biblical account of creation must just be a myth given its apparent contradictions to what we know from science. This book bridges both worlds and shows that the Genesis account of creation aligns with what science has uncovered in the last few years," Ransom says. "Science is not the enemy of faith, and Biblical creation is not just a church myth, but is substantiated by what science is showing us today."
