FREDERICK, Md., July 10, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- BlackFrederick.com partners with Association of Nigerians in Frederick for First Ever Festival on Carroll Creek.

Residents of Frederick, surrounding counties, and nearby states are invited to the Black Frederick Festival, a cultural event celebrating cultures of Continental Africa, African American, and the Black community in Frederick County. Attendees of all backgrounds are encouraged to participate in the inaugural Black Frederick Festival, which is the first of its kind in the City of Frederick. This family-friendly event was created through a partnership between the Association of Nigerians in Frederick and BlackFrederick.com, as well as generous grants from the Ausherman Family Foundation and the City of Frederick, to celebrate the Black diaspora, Black culture, and the enduring bonds and history we create and share.

"We cannot express the excitement of finally having a cultural festival in Frederick celebrating both African and American heritage and culture together. We have done smaller events in the past, but nothing of this magnitude, which makes it even more exciting," said Chantell Duckett, BlackFrederick.com's Executive Director.

On Saturday, August 26, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Carroll Creek in historic downtown Frederick, we will celebrate the unity of communities through artistic expression, including music and performances throughout the day, children's activities, educational opportunities, retail options, food trucks, and a beer and wine tent. The Black Frederick Festival is free to the public with the help of grants, vendors, and corporate sponsorships. The Black Frederick Festival is currently accepting submissions for vendors and sponsors. For more information, please visit http://www.blackfrederickfestival.com.
