EnergySolutions Announces Appointment of New Chief Financial Officer

SALT LAKE CITY, June 26, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- EnergySolutions is pleased to announce the appointment of Steven E. Birchfield as its new Chief Financial Officer, replacing its current CFO, Greg Wood, who will be retiring from the company at the end of June.

Prior to Summit, Birchfield held various finance leadership roles with Essential Power, Tennessee Valley Authority and Progress Energy (now part of Duke Energy). He holds an MBA from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Florida.
