Network for Good Reaches $5 Billion in Donations

Network for Good Donor Advised Fund today announced a significant milestone, as it surpasses $5 billion in total donations processed and disbursed to nonprofit organizations in the U.S.

Founded in 2001 to facilitate online philanthropic donations as the internet grew in popularity, Network for Good, a 501(c)(3) charity, has been committed to improving and expanding technology-enabled fundraising programs that make it safe and easy for donors to give to their favorite causes.

"For years, Network for Good has been an important bridge between donors and nonprofits, and we take this role seriously," said Abby Ross, CEO, Network for Good Donor Advised Fund. "Through company and platform partnerships, we have helped raise billions of dollars for more than 450,000 nonprofits. We are proud of this milestone, and we have more work to do."

Looking ahead, Network for Good sees an opportunity to reimagine a better financing system for social causes. The organization hopes to accelerate innovation to bring more durable capital to ensure resilience across the nonprofit community.

"We remain focused on innovating to provide new ways of financing social causes," said Ross. "We must create a system where capital is durable ? sustained, predictable and flexible ? in order to equip organizations to meet the challenges of the future. Burn and churn fundraising isn't a viable solution."

GlobalGiving CEO Victoria Vrana commended Network for Good for its continued contributions to the philanthropic sector. "GlobalGiving is a proud partner of Network for Good, and we congratulate them on more than 20 years of enabling $5 billion in generosity to power hundreds of thousands of nonprofits tackling every cause under the sun. Their launch in 2001 kicked off a digital era of social change that continues to flourish and rapidly evolve."
