Carefree Covered RV Storage Opens Second Chandler Location
Marks completion of its fourth ground up project
CHANDLER, Ariz., May 30, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Carefree Covered RV Storage celebrated the opening of its second facility in Chandler, Arizona, this month.
The 13.5-acre site offers 730 spaces of covered and uncovered parking. The company invested more than $9 million developing the site, which features a new welcome center and amenities throughout.
"We are very excited to open another location in this area of town," said Barry Raber, BPT's president and chief executive officer. "This location, off Loop 202 across from Gila River Resorts & Casinos, is a prime spot to expand our footprint in Chandler."
Within two weeks of opening, the facility welcomed 50 tenants, has 100 spaces on reserve and has another 100 customers awaiting a specific size space to become available.
Like the other locations within the Carefree portfolio, the facility offers free amenities like wash bays, dump stations, ice, wireless internet, charging outlets, and a dog park for its four-legged friends.
Development partners on the Chandler project include EAPC Architects Engineers, Erie & Associates, Inc., AT Meridian Construction, Cave's Canopies and Steel and Lucent Electric. Financing was provided by The Commerce Bank of Oregon, a division of Zions Bancorporation, N.A. The project would not have been possible without the support of Gila River Indian Community and Lone Butte Development.
Carefree Covered RV Storage is a division of Business Property Trust, which also operates the Bargain Storage brand. The businesses collectively own and operate six storage and covered RV storage sites in Arizona and Texas, with four more projects in various stages of planning and development.
