Media Advisory - Government of Canada to make an announcement about preventing gun crime and gang violence
ST. JOHN'S, NL, May 25, 2023 /CNW/ - Members of the media are invited to join the Honourable Helena Jaczek, Minister of Public Services and Procurement, on behalf of the Honourable Marco Mendicino, Minister of Public Safety, for an announcement about the Government of Canada's work to prevent gun and gang violence.
She will be joined by Joanne Thompson, Member of Parliament for St. John's East, Newfoundland and Labrador, Churence Rogers, Member of Parliament for Bonavista-Burin-Trinity, Newfoundland and Labrador, the Honourable John Hogan, Minister of Justice and Public Safety for Newfoundland and Labrador, and Patrick Roche, Royal Newfoundland Constabulary Police Chief.
Following the announcement, Minister Jaczek, MP Thompson, Minister Hogan, and Chief of Police Roche will take questions from the media.
