Green Seal's 2023 report reveals the expansive impacts of certified products on human and environmental health

WASHINGTON,  April 21, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Green Seal today announced the launch of its 2023 Impact Report, showcasing how the global nonprofit and the brands that partner with it are accelerating the transition to safer and more sustainable products and spaces. This year's annual report highlights the impacts of Green Seal's programs; key partnerships with organizations including Amazon, Wayfair, the U.S. Green Building Council and others; and the combined environmental savings achieved by products that bear the Green Seal mark.

The report focuses on impacts achieved by Green Seal-certified products, their producers, and their users, including:

"It's clear that Green Seal offers a powerful model for collective impact, and even more clear that we have an obligation to apply it in bold new ways," said Doug Gatlin, CEO of Green Seal. "Green Seal is meeting the moment with ambitious initiatives to address some of the most intractable health and environmental problems of our time."

The 2023 Impact Report also highlights Green Seal's new initiatives ? including a sustainable packaging recognition program and strict prohibitions on PFAS in certified products ? and features case studies of companies that adhere to Green Seal's strict science-based standard criteria and demonstrate significant leadership.

"Our brand is aligned with Green Seal's mission to use science-based programs to empower consumers and companies to create a more sustainable world," said Jelina Saliu, President of Safely, a new household brand that has partnered with Green Seal to certify products across its portfolio, including laundry detergent, dish soap, hand soap, hand cream, glass cleaner, and all-purpose cleaner. "We believe that when it comes to caring for your home, consumers shouldn't have to compromise. Buyers deserve natural ingredients that are safe for them, their family, and our planet."

"Outrigger is proud to be the first in the State of Hawai'i to earn the prestigious Green Seal sustainability certification for its properties, and the first hospitality brand to pursue the certification outside of the United States in Fiji and Mauritius," said Monica Salter Vice President, Global Communications & Social Responsibility at Outrigger Resorts & Hotels. "The Green Seal designation further solidifies Outrigger's allegiance to meeting the highest standards of protecting the health and environment for its guests and hosts."
