TruBlue Total House Care Launches 2023 with Several New Signings, Lands on the Prestigious Entrepreneur 500 and More

As the emerging handyman and home services brand continues entering new markets to help seniors and busy adults & families live in well maintained and safe environments, franchisees with backgrounds in senior care, nursing, engineering and more join the system.

CINCINNATI, April 18, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- TruBlue Total House Care, the handyman and home services franchise that provides subscription-based home maintenance and handyman services for seniors and busy adults, is wrapping up Q1 with several franchise units sold and several exciting announcements under its belt.

"The senior population is increasingly in need of our trustworthy home services, which is why TruBlue has been expanding rapidly over the past few years," said Sean Fitzgerald, TruBlue's president. "So far, 2023 is proving to be no different. Now, we intend to keep that momentum going throughout the rest of the year and beyond."

The National Council on Aging has found that 90% of seniors plan to remain in their homes for the next five to 10 years. TruBlue offers support both inside and outside of the home to help those seniors stay in their home longer. With various customizable, subscription-based services, including Home Ally Maintenance and Home Ally VIP packages customers can bundle maintenance selections to fit the specific needs of their home and family. This includes everything from changing filters and shutting down hose lines to small to-do list items such as putting patio furniture in storage, changing batteries and lightbulbs, or fixing a leaky faucet.

Vince Maffeo, a multi-unit Comfort Keepers franchisee in California, is one of the new owners who has signed on with TruBlue this quarter following the strategic alliance announced between the two brands. Maffeo started his franchising journey almost 15 years ago when he left his sales and marketing career in Florida to help his father run multiple Comfort Keepers franchises in 2008.

"I knew it would be more beneficial to own a TruBlue location and more convenient for our clients," said Maffeo. "Buying a TruBlue means that my Comfort Keepers locations won't have to refer out the handyman and home services as we've done in the past. It's now a one-stop shop. Comfort Keepers provides care for the individual, and TruBlue provides maintenance to the home."

This strategic alliance is the latest in an exciting wave of nationwide partnerships TruBlue has announced, including collaborations with other senior care providers such as The Helper Bees and Majestic Residences.

Looking ahead, the TruBlue team is eager to grow in new markets across the country and has specifically set its sights on the retirement-friendly state of Florida. Fitzgerald says they have identified room to add dozens of TruBlue locations in both Orlando and Tampa.

"The demographics of Florida really favor our business for multiple reasons," said Fitzgerald. "There is obviously a growing population of aging adults, but there is also a large number of residents who only live in the area half of the year. This lends itself to our subscription home watch model because we can actually take care of their homes in the summertime when they go back up North. That really jump-started our subscription business in Florida."

All of this exciting growth hasn't gone unnoticed within the franchise industry at large. Earlier this year, TruBlue was featured at No. 491 on the Entrepreneur's coveted Franchise 500 ranking and was also recently included as No. 127 on the publication's Fastest-Growing Franchises list.

"It's an honor to receive recognition from esteemed third-parties, particularly Entrepreneur, a respected publication with a long history in covering franchising," said Fitzgerald. "We take pride in this acknowledgment from the industry, especially as a smaller, emerging brand."

Fueled by this ongoing momentum, TruBlue Total House Care aims to reach over 200 units by 2025. "With this offering, entrepreneurs have a rare chance to capitalize on the booming senior industry, without the complexity of in-home care," said Fitzgerald. "We are looking for qualified, passionate and community-driven professionals to help us expand our footprint and establish ourselves as the leading provider of handyman and home maintenance services for seniors and busy adults in 2023."
