COVID-19 Pandemic - The government presents its daily update
QUÉBEC CITY, March 29, 2023 /CNW/ - The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19, in the last 24 hours, in Québec show:
411 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 1,327,859*;
7 new deaths, for a total of 18,286 deaths, i.e.;
1 death in the last 24 hours,
1 death that occurred between two and seven days ago,
5 deaths that occurred more than seven days ago;
NOTE: As death removals are not shown in the data above, the number of death additions may exceed the number of new deaths for the day.
1,586 health care workers absent for COVID-related reasons (preventive withdrawal, isolation, awaiting results, etc.);
1,224 hospitalizations, including 391 due to COVID-19, for an increase of 21 compared to the previous day;
105 new entries,
84 new discharges;
33 people in intensive care, including 15 due to COVID-19, which remains stable compared to the previous day;
7 new entries,
7 new discharges;
6,722 samples conducted on March 27;
326,748 self-declared rapid tests so far, including 275,830 positive: 29 declared for yesterday, including 25 positive.
*Note that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centres is restricted to priority clienteles.
Vaccination
2,701 doses administered are added, for a cumulative total of 22,987,617 doses received by Quebecers.
