COVID-19 Pandemic - The government presents its daily update
QUÉBEC CITY, March 22, 2023 /CNW/ - The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19, in the last 24 hours, in Québec show:
494 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 1,325,352*;
8 new deaths, for a total of 18,252 deaths, i.e.;
0 deaths in the last 24 hours,
5 deaths that occurred between two and seven days ago,
3 deaths that occurred more than seven days ago;
NOTE: As death removals are not shown in the data above, the number of death additions may exceed the number of new deaths for the day.
1,641 health care workers absent for COVID-related reasons (preventive withdrawal, isolation, awaiting results, etc.);
1,280 hospitalizations, including 410 due to COVID-19, for an increase of 12 compared to the previous day;
111 new entries,
99 new discharges;
26 people in intensive care, including 16 due to COVID-19, for a decrease of 2 compared to the previous day;
5 new entries,
7 new discharges;
6,753 samples conducted on March 20;
326,363 self-declared rapid tests so far, including 275,488 positive: 51 declared for yesterday, including 45 positive.
*Note that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centres is restricted to priority clienteles.
Vaccination
2,432 doses administered are added, for a cumulative total of 22,970,888 doses received by Quebecers.
