COVID-19 Pandemic - The government presents its daily update
QUÉBEC CITY, March 16, 2023 /CNW/ - The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19, in the last 24 hours, in Québec show:
419 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 1,323,043*;
4 new deaths, for a total of 18,219 deaths, i.e.;
2 deaths in the last 24 hours,
0 deaths that occurred between two and seven days ago,
2 deaths that occurred more than seven days ago;
NOTE: As death removals are not shown in the data above, the number of death additions may exceed the number of new deaths for the day.
1,688 health care workers absent for COVID-related reasons (preventive withdrawal, isolation, awaiting results, etc.);
1,275 hospitalizations, including 393 due to COVID-19, for an increase of 1 compared to the previous day;
109 new entries,
108 new discharges;
34 people in intensive care, including 18 due to COVID-19, which remains stable compared to the previous day;
4 new entries,
4 new discharges;
7,096 samples conducted on March 14;
326,039 self-declared rapid tests so far, including 275,200 positive: 38 declared for yesterday, including 30 positive.
*Note that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centres is restricted to priority clienteles.
Vaccination
3 226 doses administered are added, for a cumulative total of 22,957,544 doses received by Quebecers.
