COVID-19 Pandemic - The government presents its daily update
QUÉBEC CITY, March 15, 2023 /CNW/ - The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19, in the last 24 hours, in Québec show:
461 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 1,322,624*;
6 new deaths, for a total of 18,215 deaths, i.e.;
1 death in the last 24 hours,
2 deaths that occurred between two and seven days ago,
3 deaths that occurred more than seven days ago;
NOTE: As death removals are not shown in the data above, the number of death additions may exceed the number of new deaths for the day.
1,685 health care workers absent for COVID-related reasons (preventive withdrawal, isolation, awaiting results, etc.);
1,274 hospitalizations, including 407 due to COVID-19, for a decrease of 5 compared to the previous day;
81 new entries,
86 new discharges;
34 people in intensive care, including 17 due to COVID-19, for an increase of 1 compared to the previous day;
4 new entries,
3 new discharges;
7,055 samples conducted on March 13;
325,978 self-declared rapid tests so far, including 275,147 positive: 31 declared for yesterday, including 28 positive.
*Note that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centres is restricted to priority clienteles.
Vaccination
2 704 doses administered are added, for a cumulative total of 22,953,876 doses received by Quebecers.
