COVID-19 Pandemic - The government presents its daily update
QUÉBEC CITY, March 14, 2023 /CNW/ - The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19, in the last 24 hours, in Québec show:
483 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 1,322,163*;
19 new deaths, for a total of 18,209 deaths, i.e.;
0 deaths in the last 24 hours,
11 deaths that occurred between two and seven days ago,
8 deaths that occurred more than seven days ago;
NOTE: As death removals are not shown in the data above, the number of death additions may exceed the number of new deaths for the day.
1,671 health care workers absent for COVID-related reasons (preventive withdrawal, isolation, awaiting results, etc.);
1,279 hospitalizations, including 405 due to COVID-19, for a decrease of 25 compared to the previous day;
187 new entries,
212 new discharges;
33 people in intensive care, including 18 due to COVID-19, for a decrease of 3 compared to the previous day;
8 new entries,
11 new discharges;
4,768 samples conducted on March 12;
325,922 self-declared rapid tests so far, including 275,097 positive: 29 declared for yesterday, including 23 positive.
*Note that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centres is restricted to priority clienteles.
Vaccination
1 642 doses administered are added, for a cumulative total of 22,950,872 doses received by Quebecers.
