COVID-19 Pandemic - The government presents its daily update
QUÉBEC CITY, QC, March 3, 2023 /CNW/ - The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19, in the last 24 hours, in Québec show:
443 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 1,317,795*;
10 new deaths, for a total of 18,124 deaths, i.e.;
0 deaths in the last 24 hours,
1 death that occurred between two and seven days ago,
9 deaths that occurred more than seven days ago;
NOTE: As death removals are not shown in the data above, the number of death additions may exceed the number of new deaths for the day.
1,838 health care workers absent for COVID-related reasons (preventive withdrawal, isolation, awaiting results, etc.);
1,326 hospitalizations, including 444 due to COVID-19, for an increase of 1 compared to the previous day;
98 new entries,
97 new discharges;
34 people in intensive care, including 17 due to COVID-19, for an increase of 3 compared to the previous day;
9 new entries,
6 new discharges;
6,501 samples conducted on March 1;
325,254 self-declared rapid tests so far, including 274,489 positive: 43 declared for yesterday, including 37 positive.
*Note that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centres is restricted to priority clienteles.
Vaccination
2 202 doses administered are added, for a cumulative total of 22,930,633 doses received by Quebecers.
