COVID-19 Pandemic - The government presents its daily update
QUÉBEC CITY, March 1, 2023 /CNW/ - The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19, in the last 24 hours, in Québec show:
614 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 1,316,793*;
4 new deaths, for a total of 18,105 deaths, i.e.;
0 deaths in the last 24 hours,
4 deaths that occurred between two and seven days ago,
0 deaths that occurred more than seven days ago; NOTE: As death removals are not shown in the data above, the number of death additions may exceed the number of new deaths for the day.
1,856 health care workers absent for COVID-related reasons (preventive withdrawal, isolation, awaiting results, etc.);
1,278 hospitalizations, including 440 due to COVID-19, for a decrease of 2 compared to the previous day;
95 new entries,
97 new discharges;
26 people in intensive care, including 19 due to COVID-19, for a decrease of 4 compared to the previous day;
5 new entries,
9 new discharges;
7,158 samples conducted on February 27;
325,118 self-declared rapid tests so far, including 274,370 positive: 35 declared for yesterday, including 34 positive.
*Note that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centres is restricted to priority clienteles.
Vaccination
2 206 doses administered are added, for a cumulative total of 22,925,665 doses received by Quebecers.
