COVID-19 Pandemic - The government presents its daily update
QUÉBEC CITY, Feb. 24, 2023 /CNW/ - The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19, in the last 24 hours, in Québec show:
484 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 1,314,525*;
6 new deaths, for a total of 18,090 deaths, i.e.;
2 deaths in the last 24 hours,
0 deaths that occurred between two and seven days ago,
4 deaths that occurred more than seven days ago; NOTE: As death removals are not shown in the data above, the number of death additions may exceed the number of new deaths for the day.
1,941 health care workers absent for COVID-related reasons (preventive withdrawal, isolation, awaiting results, etc.);
1,311 hospitalizations, including 477 due to COVID-19, for a decrease of 24 compared to the previous day;
92 new entries,
116 new discharges;
28 people in intensive care, including 18 due to COVID-19, for a decrease of 8 compared to the previous day;
5 new entries,
13 new discharges;
6,811 samples conducted on February 22;
324,822 self-declared rapid tests so far, including 274,109 positive: 34 declared for yesterday, including 29 positive.
*Note that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centres is restricted to priority clienteles.
Vaccination
1,742 doses administered are added, for a cumulative total of 22,918,048 doses received by Quebecers.
