COVID-19 Pandemic - The government presents its daily update
QUÉBEC CITY, Feb. 15, 2023 /CNW/ - The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19, in the last 24 hours, in Québec show:
576 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 1,310,164*;
7 new deaths, for a total of 18,037 deaths, i.e.;
1 death in the last 24 hours,
3 deaths that occurred between two and seven days ago,
3 deaths that occurred more than seven days ago;
NOTE: As death removals are not shown in the data above, the number of death additions may exceed the number of new deaths for the day.
2,043 health care workers absent for COVID-related reasons (preventive withdrawal, isolation, awaiting results, etc.);
1,320 hospitalizations, including 427 due to COVID-19, for an increase of 9 compared to the previous day;
97 new entries,
88 new discharges;
33 people in intensive care, including 22 due to COVID-19, for a decrease of 2 compared to the previous day;
4 new entries,
6 new discharges;
8,117 samples conducted on February 13;
324,099 self-declared rapid tests so far, including 273,467 positive: 57 declared for yesterday, including 44 positive.
*Note that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centres is restricted to priority clienteles.
Vaccination
1 135 doses administered are added, for a cumulative total of 22,904,773 doses received by Quebecers.
