COVID-19 Pandemic - The government presents its daily update
QUÉBEC CITY, Feb. 9, 2023 /CNW Telbec/ - The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19, in the last 24 hours, in Québec show:
607 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 1,307,181*;
5 new deaths, for a total of 18,002 deaths, i.e.;
2 deaths in the last 24 hours,
0 deaths that occurred between two and seven days ago,
3 deaths that occurred more than seven days ago;
NOTE: As death removals are not shown in the data above, the number of death additions may exceed the number of new deaths for the day.
2,159 health care workers absent for COVID-related reasons (preventive withdrawal, isolation, awaiting results, etc.);
1,378 hospitalizations, including 434 due to COVID-19, for a decrease of 7 compared to the previous day;
89 new entries,
96 new discharges;
27 people in intensive care, including 12 due to COVID-19, for a decrease of 5 compared to the previous day;
0 new entries,
5 new discharges;
8,359 samples conducted on February 7;
323,614 self-declared rapid tests so far, including 273,047 positive: 39 declared for yesterday, including 35 positive.
*Note that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centres is restricted to priority clienteles.
Vaccination
2,020 doses administered are added, for a cumulative total of 22,897,075 doses received by Quebecers.
