Multi-Industry Executive Sees Success After Pivoting to Home Healthcare with Seniors Helping Seniors®

Following an illustrious career in various executive leadership roles across several industries, Andy Lask is now supporting the elderly in his community as one of the fast-growing brand's newest owners

PHOENIX, Feb. 9, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Throughout his career, Andy Lask has gained a wealth of experience in various industries, including accounting, law, finance, manufacturing, software engineering, and chemical distribution. Now, Lask is adding home healthcare to that list as one of the newest franchise owners with Seniors Helping Seniors®, the 200-plus-unit in-home senior care franchise. From his personal experience caring for family members, Lask developed an appreciation and understanding of seniors' needs and comfort levels regarding home healthcare.

Lask launched his Seniors Helping Seniors® business in 2022 to help fill the gap by bringing care and companionship to all of Scottsdale, Fountain Hills, and the East Valley in Phoenix. In addition to providing in-home care for local seniors, Lask decided to open Seniors Helping Seniors® to provide job opportunities to a sector of the labor market that is typically overlooked: seniors themselves.

"I have a lot of experience in dealing with people in many different industries and the personal experience of caring for my parents," said Lask. "I run Seniors Helping Seniors as a boutique home healthcare business; I offer hands-on customer care and treat my clients and caregivers as family. My priority is to bring comfort to the families we serve by personally meeting them and introducing them to our caregivers the first day we assist them and maintaining close contact with the family to ensure all of their needs are being met."

The in-home senior care industry has seen unprecedented growth in recent years as the baby boomer generation has reached the phase in life where these services become necessary. An estimated 10,000 baby boomers turn 65 years old every day; by 2050, nearly 20% of the U.S. population will be 65 and older. According to the National Council on Aging, 90% of those seniors say they plan to remain in their homes for the next 5 to 10 years. With more than 400 nursing homes projected to close in 2022 based on money and staffing issues, and the U.S. home care market expected to grow to $225 billion by 2024, in-home senior care companies across the country are pushing to meet the demand.

Further differentiating the Seniors Helping Seniors® franchise from other brands in the eldercare space is its commitment to hiring senior caregivers, which provides employment opportunities for retirees and better cultivates meaningful relationships between caregivers and care receivers. Retired seniors have the opportunity to enjoy a flexible schedule, earn extra income, and lend a hand with a fellow senior's daily living needs.

ABOUT SENIORS HELPING SENIORS®
Seniors Helping Seniors® franchise system was founded by husband-and-wife duo Kiran and Philip Yocom. Kiran, who grew up in India, later worked to advance humanitarian efforts alongside Mother Teresa. After Kiran moved to the U.S. in 1995 and married her husband Philip, the Yocoms felt called to provide loving care to seniors and cultivate an exchange of gifts at every generational level. Together, the Yocoms founded Seniors Helping Seniors® in-home services in 1998, opening the brand up to franchising in 2006. With a mission to be the most respected and rewarding home care provider in the U.S., Seniors Helping Seniors® locations stand apart from competitors as the only company that prioritizes hiring active seniors to provide care services to their less-active counterparts. Seniors Helping Seniors® service aligns caregivers and care recipients based on the abilities and needs of both by offering a wide range of care services.
