COVID-19 Pandemic - The government presents its daily update
QUÉBEC CITY, Feb. 8, 2023 /CNW Telbec/ - The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19, in the last 24 hours, in Québec show:
612 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 1,306,574*;
4 new deaths, for a total of 17,997 deaths, i.e.;
0 deaths in the last 24 hours,
3 deaths that occurred between two and seven days ago,
1 death that occurred more than seven days ago;
NOTE: As death removals are not shown in the data above, the number of death additions may exceed the number of new deaths for the day.
1,806 health care workers absent for COVID-related reasons (preventive withdrawal, isolation, awaiting results, etc.);
1,385 hospitalizations, including 438 due to COVID-19, for an increase of 15 compared to the previous day;
102 new entries,
87 new discharges;
32 people in intensive care, including 14 due to COVID-19, for an increase of 2 compared to the previous day;
4 new entries,
2 new discharges;
8,519 samples conducted on February 6;
323,538 self-declared rapid tests so far, including 272,981 positive: 37 declared for yesterday, including 29 positive.
*Note that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centres is restricted to priority clienteles.
Vaccination
1,717 doses administered are added, for a cumulative total of 22,895,021 doses received by Quebecers.
