COVID-19 Pandemic - The government presents its daily update
QUÉBEC CITY, Feb. 7, 2023 /CNW Telbec/ - The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19, in the last 24 hours, in Québec show:
585 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 1,305,962*;
13 new deaths, for a total of 17,993 deaths, i.e.;
1 death in the last 24 hours,
9 deaths that occurred between two and seven days ago,
3 deaths that occurred more than seven days ago;
NOTE: As death removals are not shown in the data above, the number of death additions may exceed the number of new deaths for the day.
1,965 health care workers absent for COVID-related reasons (preventive withdrawal, isolation, awaiting results, etc.);
1,370 hospitalizations, including 431 due to COVID-19, for a decrease of 13 compared to the previous day;
187 new entries,
200 new discharges;
30 people in intensive care, including 15 due to COVID-19, for an increase of 5 compared to the previous day;
11 new entries,
6 new discharges;
6,262 samples conducted on February 5;
323,465 self-declared rapid tests so far, including 272,919 positive: 49 declared for yesterday, including 43 positive.
*Note that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centres is restricted to priority clienteles.
Vaccination
1,019 doses administered are added, for a cumulative total of 22,893,235 doses received by Quebecers.
