COVID-19 Pandemic - The government presents its daily update
QUÉBEC CITY, Jan. 30, 2023 /CNW Telbec/ - The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19, in the last 24 hours, in Québec show:
340 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 1,302,103*;
1 new death, for a total of 17,941 deaths, i.e.;
1 death in the last 24 hours,
0 deaths that occurred between two and seven days ago,
0 deaths that occurred more than seven days ago; NOTE: As death removals are not shown in the data above, the number of death additions may exceed the number of new deaths for the day.
1,888 health care workers absent for COVID-related reasons (preventive withdrawal, isolation, awaiting results, etc.);
Hospitalizations and intensive care: due to a change in methodology, data are no longer compiled on weekends. Thus, the data will be updated from Tuesday to Saturday;
5,883 samples conducted on January 28;
322,765 self-declared rapid tests so far, including 272,279 positive: 32 declared for yesterday, including 30 positive.
*Note that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centres is restricted to priority clienteles.
Vaccination
639 doses administered are added, for a cumulative total of 22,879,965 doses received by Quebecers.
