COVID-19 Pandemic - The government presents its daily update
QUÉBEC CITY, Jan. 27, 2023 /CNW Telbec/ - The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19, in the last 24 hours, in Québec show:
419 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 1,301,034*;
13 new deaths, for a total of 17,936 deaths, i.e.;
0 deaths in the last 24 hours,
2 deaths that occurred between two and seven days ago,
11 deaths that occurred more than seven days ago;
NOTE: As death removals are not shown in the data above, the number of death additions may exceed the number of new deaths for the day.
2,081 health care workers absent for COVID-related reasons (preventive withdrawal, isolation, awaiting results, etc.);
1,569 hospitalizations, including 493 due to COVID-19, for a decrease of 62 compared to the previous day;
72 new entries,
134 new discharges;
27 people in intensive care, including 16 due to COVID-19, for a decrease of 8 compared to the previous day;
2 new entries,
10 new discharges;
7,874 samples conducted on January 25;
322,579 self-declared rapid tests so far, including 272,104 positive: 35 declared for yesterday, including 32 positive.
*Note that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centres is restricted to priority clienteles.
Vaccination
2,596 doses administered are added, for a cumulative total of 22,872,901 doses received by Quebecers.
