COVID-19 Pandemic - The government presents its daily update
QUÉBEC CITY, Jan. 13, 2023 /CNW Telbec/ - The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19, in the last 24 hours, in Québec show:
636 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 1,294,139*;
12 new deaths, for a total of 17,801 deaths, i.e.;
2 deaths in the last 24 hours,
4 deaths that occurred between two and seven days ago,
6 deaths that occurred more than seven days ago;
NOTE: As death removals are not shown in the data above, the number of death additions may exceed the number of new deaths for the day.
2,228 health care workers absent for COVID-related reasons (preventive withdrawal, isolation, awaiting results, etc.);
1,989 hospitalizations, including 682 due to COVID-19, for a decrease of 37 compared to the previous day;
123 new entries,
160 new discharges;
49 people in intensive care, including 26 due to COVID-19, for an increase of 5 compared to the previous day;
10 new entries,
5 new discharges;
8,697 samples conducted on January 11;
321,612 self-declared rapid tests so far, including 271,263 positive: 51 declared for yesterday, including 42 positive.
*Note that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centres is restricted to priority clienteles.
Vaccination
7,471 doses administered are added, for a cumulative total of 22,820,374 doses received by Quebecers.
