COVID-19 Pandemic - The government presents its daily update
QUÉBEC CITY, Dec. 29, 2022 /CNW Telbec/ - The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19, in the last 24 hours, in Québec show:
1,108 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 1,282,260*;
26 new deaths, for a total of 17,670 deaths, i.e.;
1 death in the last 24 hours,
23 deaths that occurred between two and seven days ago,
2 deaths that occurred more than seven days ago; NOTE: As death removals are not shown in the data above, the number of death additions may exceed the number of new deaths for the day.
3,036 health care workers absent for COVID-related reasons (preventive withdrawal, isolation, awaiting results, etc.);
2,059 hospitalizations, including 711 due to COVID-19, for a decrease of 60 compared to December 22nd;
Entries and discharges are not available.
57 people in intensive care, including 25 due to COVID-19, for an increase of 2 compared to December 22nd;

8,801 samples conducted on December 27;
319,346 self-declared rapid tests so far, including 269,280 positive: 111 declared for yesterday, including 96 positive.
*Note that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centres is restricted to priority clienteles.
Vaccination
6,383 doses administered are added, for a cumulative total of 22,749,814 doses received by Quebecers.
