COVID-19 Pandemic - The government presents its daily update
QUÉBEC CITY, Dec. 22, 2022 /CNW Telbec/ - The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19, in the last 24 hours, in Québec show:
1 173 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 1,276,752*;
7 new deaths, for a total of 17,593 deaths, i.e.;
0 deaths in the last 24 hours,
5 deaths that occurred between two and seven days ago,
2 deaths that occurred more than seven days ago; NOTE: As death removals are not shown in the data above, the number of death additions may exceed the number of new deaths for the day.
3,797 health care workers absent for COVID-related reasons (preventive withdrawal, isolation, awaiting results, etc.);
2,122 hospitalizations, including 735 due to COVID-19, for a decrease of 27 compared to the previous day;
171 new entries,
198 new discharges;
55 people in intensive care, including 26 due to COVID-19, for a decrease of 2 compared to the previous day ;
10 new entries,
12 new discharges;
12,042 samples conducted on December 20;
317,969 self-declared rapid tests so far, including 268,053 positive: 131 declared for yesterday, including 121 positive.
*Note that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centres is restricted to priority clienteles.
Vaccination
11,531 doses administered are added, for a cumulative total of 22,723,323 doses received by Quebecers.
