Caring Transitions Closes Out 2022 with 40 New Franchise Signings; Sets Itself Apart in the $800 Billion Senior Care Market

The nation's leading senior relocation franchise entered 20 new cities this year, welcomed new leaders to the team, landed an appearance on national television and more.

CINCINNATI, Dec. 20, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Caring Transitions ? the franchise that provides older adults and their families with the most trusted, respected and comprehensive downsizing, right-sizing, estate sales and online auctions, and move management solutions in the industry ? is wrapping up 2022 with impressive momentum. This year, the brand signed over 40 new franchise owners, entered 20 new cities, expanded its leadership team and more.

"Our growth just keeps getting better every year," said Caring Transitions President Ray Fabik. "I hear phrases like pandemic-proof and recession-proof, and while I don't like to use those words, our brand has certainly shown itself to be very resilient. We are really an essential service. When the economy turns even a little bit, people still need to take care of their parents. Our business continues to accomplish big things in light of whatever happens out there. When you look back at the last three years, it has been challenging, but we continue to have double-digit growth year after year."

As demand for senior care reaches new heights, Caring Transitions has carved out a lucrative niche in the $832.8 billion industry as the nation's largest provider of senior-relocation services. While there is no shortage of brands offering medical care and even home-improvement services for seniors, there are very few businesses equipped to help seniors move from their homes to a care facility or to manage the relocation or sale of all personal belongings. This is how Caring Transitions has established itself as a leader in its segment.

Caring Transitions helps seniors relocate by spending time at their homes, helping them pack and organize their belongings, then moving those belongings to the new home and setting them up in a comfortable and familiar way. Then, the team returns to the original location to arrange and host an in-person or online estate sale through its proprietary platform, CTBids.

And CTBids was also a major success story for the brand this year, Fabik says. "More people are interested in having an online estate sale experience rather than going to a physical house," he said. "Our CTBids business continues to reach new heights every month. When you get on CTBids, you can search by room or item, and it has really lined up with what customers want for the online experience. We spent last year revamping the platform, so the ease of shopping and speed of the system has never been better."

To further support growth, the Caring Transitions team is also building out its leadership team. "We are not staying idle," said Fabik. "If there are bumps in the economy, we want to put the infrastructure in place to mitigate that. Companies can get complacent when they are successful, but this is the time to push so that once bumps do come up, we won't notice them as much. Bringing new people onto the team is a big part of that."

Carrie Coumbs, for example, was brought on as Caring Transitions' Senior Strategic Advisor. Coumbs brings an extensive and impressive background in the senior care services. For the last two decades, she has been a specialist in all areas of aging, working for some of the largest organizations within the senior care continuum.

"Carrie is helping ensure that all of our franchise owners have a deeper understanding of the needs of seniors," said Fabik. "This isn't just a transaction for us. The heart of our business is all about making a caring transition for these seniors. As the aging business evolves, we want to make sure we are at the forefront of the industry, and that means bringing on experts like Carrie, who can help position the brand as a leader in the senior care services."

This year also saw Caring Transitions form strategic partnerships with UNITS Moving & Storage and Junk King, two brands that are now available to help Caring Transitions franchise owners manage junk removal and storage for their senior clients.

As the cherry on top of another groundbreaking year, Caring Transitions also made its national television debut on Dr. Phil. In the episode, Caring Transitions franchise owners in Texas helped a couple clean their cluttered home before getting ready to sell. "It really gave amazing exposure for our brand," said Fabik. "It was basically a Caring Transitions commercial!"

Looking to the next year and beyond, Fabik says Caring Transitions will use this momentum to continue growth. "We know that we have a great brand and that Caring Transitions ownership can be a great fit for someone who is tired of their corporate America job and wants to take control of their own destiny," he said. "Especially in times of unrest, there is nothing better than having full control. Now, we want to grow aggressively because we believe there should be a Caring Transitions location in every market. We couldn't be more excited to partner with talented and passionate new owners across the country and help even more seniors relocate and re-create an environment that feels like home."

Start-up costs range from $58,912?$82,712, and franchisees have the opportunity to earn back their $44,900 franchise fee through its Winner's Circle program by hitting a variety of key benchmarks.
