COVID-19 Pandemic - The government presents its daily update
QUÉBEC CITY, Dec. 6, 2022 /CNW Telbec/ - The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19, in the last 24 hours, in Québec show:
1 132 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 1,258,503*;
19 new deaths, for a total of 17,409 deaths, i.e.;
3 deaths in the last 24 hours,
13 deaths that occurred between two and seven days ago,
3 deaths that occurred more than seven days ago NOTE: As death removals are not shown in the data above, the number of death additions may exceed the number of new deaths for the day.
3,785 health care workers absent for COVID-related reasons (preventive withdrawal, isolation, awaiting results, etc.);
1,959 hospitalizations, including 653 due to COVID-19, for an increase of 22 compared to the previous day;
352 new entries,
330 new discharges;
53 people in intensive care, including 30 due to COVID-19, for an increase of 6 compared to the previous day;
20 new entries,
14 new discharges;
7,898 samples conducted on December 4;
313,800 self-declared rapid tests so far, including 264,245 positive: 156 declared for yesterday, including 142 positive.
*Note that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centres is restricted to priority clienteles.
Vaccination
10,734 doses administered are added, for a cumulative total of 22,494,785 doses received by Quebecers.
