TaKorean Slashes Franchise Fee in Half for Veterans, Offering $20,000 Discount

The concept's leadership recognizes how well veterans fit within its business concept and is excited to help open doors for those who have served.

WASHINGTON, Nov. 7, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- TaKorean, the fast casual Korean-Mexican fusion concept, is now offering veterans a 50% discount on the initial franchise fee, decreasing the amount by $20,000.

"There are skills and character traits associated with veterans that inherently make them a good fit for the franchise model," said Mike Lenard, CEO of TaKorean. "They have experience following protocol, perfecting processes and working as part of a true team ? all things TaKorean owners, leaders, and staff do each day."

Eric Lenard, director of development, and Lukas Umana, president of TaKorean, both have personal connections to the military. Eric Lenard's grandfather was a career Army officer who served in the last regiment of the horseback cavalry in the Black Hills of South Dakota, commanded a tank in the Battle of the Bulge and received a Purple Heart for wounds sustained in that battle, and Umana worked closely with service members during his decade as a Financial Analyst for the CIO office at Defense Logistics Agency.

"We wanted to do something really meaningful for the veteran community," Eric Lenard explained. "We want to open doors for veterans and provide a sort of 'thank you' for their service. We're able to separate ourselves from other franchise opportunities by doing something so tangible."

The discount will launch on November 7th in honor of Veteran's Day 2022 and will be an ongoing feature of the franchise in the following year.
