California Closets of North Carolina and Virginia Announces Three New Charity Initiatives Across Two States

The initiatives support two Ronald McDonald House Chapters and paws4people.

RALEIGH, N.C., Nov. 3, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- California Closets®, the iconic purveyor of stylish storage and design solutions, is pleased to announce several new charity initiatives. The initiatives support children and veterans through the donation of organizational solutions to two Ronald McDonald Houses, a toy drive, and the sponsorship of a 5K race.

"Giving back to the community is a high priority for us," says Graziella Marengi, Co-franchise Owner of five California Closets locations. "Our incredible success is due in no small part to the support we've received from the community. We're thrilled to be in a position to give back."

California Closets of North Carolina and Virginia is donating organizational solutions for heavily-utilized rooms at the Ronald McDonald Houses in Durham, NC, and Richmond, VA. The chapters will receive the full California Closets experience which includes meeting with a designer, CAD drawings, brand new materials custom built for the space, and professional installation. The team is currently in the selection process and could provide organizational solutions to storage space, child play rooms, isolation rooms, or common areas depending on each chapter's needs. In addition to the space transformation, California Closets of North Carolina and Virginia is hosting a toy drive for the Ronald McDonald House chapters in Durham and Richmond. "We wanted to do more and find a way to let the kids know they weren't forgotten," says Marengi. "The toy drive is a great way for the entire community to get involved and it will make a direct impact on the children."

The drive is underway at the centrally located California Closets Design Center in Raleigh. Anyone interested in contributing to the Toy Drive may drop off new, unopened toys at the Design Center on or before December 12th, 2022. The Raleigh Design Center is conveniently located at 8411 Glenwood Ave, Raleigh, NC 27612 and is open Monday - Friday 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and Saturday 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

California Closets of North Carolina and Virginia is also a proud sponsor of the paws4people Veterans Day 5K in Wilmington, NC. The race is open to walkers and runners with and without dogs. Race registration is open now. All proceeds from the event benefit the paws4people foundation, which specializes in placing assistance dogs with veterans and service members living with service-induced trauma.

"Our military community has given so much of themselves. They deserve all the support in the world," says Marengi. "Through the race sponsorship, we are helping to provide deserving veterans with the support animals they need. We hope that our support raises awareness and drives even more participation."
